April 25, 2005 — CamdenSenator Carper visited Fifer Middle School where he talked with students about the Senate and the House of Representatives, and quizzed them on their knowledge of politics. They passed with flying colors!

April 18, 2005 — WilmingtonSenator Carper received his second "Spirit of Enterprise" award from the United States Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the DuPont Country Club by Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donahue.
April 16, 2005 — DoverSurrounded by most of the players, Senator Carper presented an American flag to the Dover Little League. This flag flew over the Capitol in recognition of Dover's 50 years of little league and the tens of thousands of players who have participated since 1955.
April 16, 2005 — WilmingtonSenator Carper met with interested home-buyers at Shiloh Baptist Church. He was on-hand to help this local woman get more information on how the home-buying process works.

April 11, 2005 — DoverSenator Carper was joined by (l to r) Congressman Mike Castle, United States Assistant Secretary of Education Ray Simon and Delaware Secretary of Education Valerie Woodruff at the John W. Collette Education Resource Center. Mr. Simon was in Delaware to discuss the present needs and future goals of Delaware's schools, as well as how the No Child Left Behind law and its new guidelines will impact Delaware.
