After voting in support of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act on February 10, 2009, Sen. Carper discussed the many ways the bill will keep and create jobs in Delaware, put money back into consumers' pockets and invest in the future of our nation. Sen. Carper worked with a bipartisan group of senators to ensure that spending in the bill went directly to programs that create real jobs and produce real economic improvements soon. The bill passed the Senate on Tuesday afternoon 61 to 37.
