Sen. Carper Applauds Bank of America for Bringing 500 Jobs to Delaware

Bank of America will also donate building to be used for education

WILMINGTON – Today, Sen. Tom Carper, (D-Del.) applauded Bank of America’s decision to bring 500 jobs to Delaware. The bank also announced it will donate one of its Wilmington buildings to new non-profit organization supported by the Longwood Foundation. This building will be used to support education in the community.

“Today is a great day for Wilmington and the surrounding area,” said Sen. Tom Carper. “Bank of America has made a commitment that will bring hundreds of new jobs to the First State, which is a strong testament to Delaware’s excellent work force and nurturing business environment. On top of that welcome news, Bank of America will additionally donate of one of its buildings to the Longwood Foundation to enhance local education efforts, underscoring its dedication to our community. That’s what I call a win-win for Delaware.”
