Sen. Carper Tours ILC Dover

FREDERICA, Del. – On Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) toured ILC Dover to see how the Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership has helped the manufacturing company make improvements to its processes. Since 1947, ILC Dover has designed and manufactured materials for Space Suits for NASA, various hi-tech inflatable devices, gas masks for military and civilian use, flexible containment products for pharmaceutical processing, and aerostats/blimps for military surveillance and commercial advertising purposes.

DEMEP is a non-profit, economic development organization partnering with Delaware Technical Community College that is devoted to Delaware’s manufacturers and small businesses. DEMEP services are available state-wide with agents located in each county.
