Carper Highlights Health Insurance Open Enrollment in Sussex County

GEORGETOWN – Today, U.S. Senator Tom Carper (D-Del.) joined marketplace navigators and marketplace enrollees at La Red Health Center to highlight the health insurance marketplace open enrollment period, happening now until Dec. 15, 2017. Marketplace navigators are available throughout the state to provide free, in-person assistance to Delawareans.

“Eight in 10 people qualify for a tax credit, so I encourage everyone to use the marketplace open enrollment period to get their free help from navigators up and down the state and review their options for coverage in 2018,” said Senator Carper. “Despite partisan politics down in Washington, the Affordable Care Act is still the law of the land, so don’t delay in getting covered.”

Those interested in getting coverage should bring with them the birth dates and social security numbers of those applying for coverage, paystubs, W-2 forms, or other income information, policy/member numbers for any current health coverage and information about any health coverage from a job that’s available to you or your family.

For more information, go to www.ChooseHealthDE.com. You can enroll in marketplace coverage at www.HealthCare.gov or by calling 1 (800) 318-2596 (TTY: 1 855 889-4325).
