WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, December 5, 2012, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper (D- Del.) will deliver opening remarks at Keeping America Competitive, an ideas forum hosted by Third Way and RATE Coalition to discuss the importance of reforming the corporate tax code to make America more competitive and to promote job growth. Sen. Carper will speak before a group of panelists discuss how America can adjust the current tax code. Information about Third Way and the ideas forum can be found here.

Panelists include: Elaine Kamarck, Co-chair of the RATE Coalition and Lecturer in Public Policy, The Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University; Melissa Lavinson, Vice President, Federal Government Affairs, PG&E Corporation; and Mark Schichtel, Senior Vice President and Chief Tax Officer, Time Warner Cable. Jim Kessler, Senior Vice President for Policy at Third Way, will moderate.
