WASHINGTON – U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Tom Carper (D-Del.) and Ranking Member Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) will hold a hearing titled “Border Security: Frontline Perspectives on Progress and Remaining Challenges” on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in room 342 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.
This hearing seeks to examine the progress being made in securing the border, how this progress can best be measured, and the challenges we continue to face. Witnesses will provide testimony on how efforts to secure the border have progressed over the past decade, the challenges that frontline personnel face and how the different offices charged with border security measure effectiveness.
