WILMINGTON – On Monday, July 23, 2012, Gov. Jack Markell and Delaware’s Congressional Delegation of U.S. Sens. Tom Carper, Chris Coons and Congressman John Carney (all D-Del.) will announce the Delaware recipients of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Care Innovation Awards.
Christiana Care Health System and Nemours/Alfred I. Dupont Hospital for Children both will receive funding for projects from the Health Care Innovation Awards, which are funded through the CMS Innovation Center that was created by the Affordable Care Act. Together, these hospitals received nearly $13.7 million for their new programs.
