GEORGETOWN, Del. – Students, parents and members of the community are invited to join Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) and representatives from Facebook who will discuss online safety on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, in the Sussex Central High School auditorium. 

This free event is geared toward students, their parents and faculty but is open to the public. Attendees will learn about their role as digital citizens: how to better secure their Facebook profile, how to report misuse of the social media platform, and other online safety tools. Facebook representatives will give a presentation and also be on hand to answer questions from the audience.
