DOVER, Del. – On Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, press is invited to join U.S. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) at the following events in Kent County:

Sen. Carper will visit Redner’s Market to discuss the operations at its newest store in Kent County.  Sen. Carper will also tour the store and greet employees and customers.

Time: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

Location: 25 Greentree Drive, Dover, DE

Sen. Carper will attend the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter’s Association Convention. Sen. Carper, co-chair of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus, will address the Ladies’ Auxiliary and volunteer firefighters at this annual event.

Time: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Location: Dover Downs, 1131 N. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE

Sen. Carper will tour the Painted Stave Distillery. This new distillery, owned by Ron Gomes, Jr. and Mike Rasmussen, opened in the Old Smyrna Theater earlier this
year.
