Hearing: The Financial and Societal Costs of Medicating America's Foster Children

WASHINGTON – Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Federal Financial Management, Government Information, Federal Services, and International Security, will hold a hearing titled, "The Financial and Societal Costs of Medicating America's Foster Children," on Thursday Dec. 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in room 342 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.

The hearing will examine the impacts and costs of improper prescribing of psychotropic drugs to American children enrolled in Medicaid through foster care.
