WILMINGTON – On Thursday, May 30, 2013, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.), will speak at the following public events: 

Sen. Carper will participate in the Delaware Memorial Bridge Ceremony hosted by the Delaware Commission on Veterans Affairs.

Time: 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Location: Memorial Bridge Plaza, New Castle

Sen. Carper will be "Principal for a Day" at Serviam Girls Academy, a tuition-free, independent middle school for young women of all faiths from low-income families. Principal for a Day is a program by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce that connects leaders from business and government with principals at Delaware schools so both can better understand how to educate the leaders of tomorrow.

Time: 12:30 – 2 p.m.

Location: 14 Halcyon Drive, New Castle

Sen. Carper will celebrate the newly renovated Wilmington Hospital during a ribbon cutting ceremony. 

Time: 4 – 5 p.m.
