Sen. Carper will stop by Westside Family Healthcare to participate in the Reach Out and Read program by reading to children. Westside Family Healthcare participates in this program that prepares America's youngest children to succeed in school by training doctors and nurses to advise parents about the importance of reading aloud and to give books to children at checkups from 6 months through 5 years. Sen. Carper will read three books to children in the pediatric waiting area.
