WILMINGTON, Del. – Sen. Tom Carper will make remarks at the Nemours Kids Transport Program Dedication on June 24, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del. This transport service is owned, operated, and staffed by Nemours, providing an immediate introduction to the "Nemours Experience" for patients and their families. With this announcement comes a formal dedication of the Nemours Kids Transport Program's brand new fleet of ambulances. The Nemours Kids Transport Program is not a 911 emergency service, but a service that transports patients from other licensed health care facilities to Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children for specialized pediatric care and support, by referral only.
