WILMINGTON, Del. – On Thursday, October 25, 2012, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper will join members from the Fund for Women to congratulate Lynn Williams on being awarded the First Founder’s Award. The Fund for Women is an endowment at the Delaware Community Foundation whose mission is to provide funding to enhance the worth and potential of women and girls in Delaware. The First Founder’s Award celebrates someone who has a record of exceptional generosity, who demonstrates civic or charitable responsibility and whose leadership has encouraged others in philanthropic roles.
