The University of Delaware will hold its annual student-run conference, the Energy and Sustainability Conference of 2011, in Newark, Del. Sen. Carper, who serves on the Committee on Environment and Public Works, will kick-off the event with remarks about his efforts in the Senate to promote the development of clean and sustainable energy in the country. The conference will include discussions on cutting-edge clean energy research happenings at the University of Delaware, as well as discussions on policies and business practices that could move this country toward a clean, independent, and sustainable energy future.
