SELBYVILLE, Del. – On Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, U.S. Sen. Carper (D-Del.) will attend the following events:                                                   

Sen. Carper will join 300 volunteers to pack boxes at Mountaire for its Thanksgiving for Thousands initiative. Mountaire Farms’ 19^th Annual Thanksgiving for Thousands will provide 7,500 boxes of food to feed more than 50,000 people in need in Delaware and Maryland.

Time: 10 – 11 a.m.

Location: Mountaire Warehouse, Railroad St. and Hosier St., Selbyville, Del.

Sen. Carper will visit several Rehoboth Beach businesses and encourage Delawareans to shop local this holiday season as a part of the 4th Annual Small Business Saturday initiative. He will join representatives from the Small Business Administration and the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and make stops along Rehoboth Avenue, starting at Mod Cottage. Sen. Carper recently signed on to a Senate Resolution to mark Nov. 30, 2013, as Small Business Saturday.
