WASHINGTON – Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) will hold a tele-town hall meeting to hear questions, comments and concerns from Delawareans. Sen. Carper will answer participants' questions on topics ranging from the postal service to the budget deficit to job creation. The call will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday June 13, 2012.
Sen. Carper has held several successful tele-town hall meetings during the last year to talk about topics including postal reform and the economy. He has reached almost 20,000 Delawareans on those calls.
“Telephone town hall meetings provide a unique and convenient forum to allow thousands of Delawareans to participate in a conversation about what’s important to their lives, families and communities,” said Sen. Carper. “I use these opportunities to learn how I can better serve the people and state of Delaware.”
The tele-town hall is part of an ongoing effort by Sen. Carper to address questions and concerns Delawareans have about issues affecting the state and the nation.
