Event Announcing Community Bank Delaware's Success in Small Business Lending Program
Community Bank Delaware lends nearly $6 million to small businesses through Small Business Lending Fund.

WILMINGTON – On Monday, November 21, 2011, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper and U.S. Rep. John Carney (both D-Del.) will join leaders from Community Bank Delaware in Lewes to highlight its participation in the U.S. Treasury Small Business Lending Fund program which helps small businesses in Delaware obtain the funding they need to expand their operations and create jobs. Community Bank Delaware has been able to lend nearly $6 million in qualifying loans since the August SBLF funding.
The Small Business Lending Fund was established as part of the Small Business Jobs Act that President Obama signed into law in 2010 and encourages community banks to increase their lending to small businesses.
Keith Parsell, owner of Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, is a Small Business Lending Fund loan recipient with four locations in Sussex County who will speak at the event about how the loan helped him improve his business.
