WILMINGTON, Del. – On Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, U.S. Sen. Carper (D-Del.) will be at the following events:                                                    

Sen. Carper will speak at the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce Policy Makers Speaker Series.

Time: 8 – 9 a.m.

Location: Sheraton Wilmington South, 365 Airport Rd., New Castle, DE

Sen. Carper, co-chair of the Senate Recycling Caucus, will tour Delaware Solid Waste Authority’s new Materials Recovery Facility. This facility handles all of Delaware’s recycling and has been made possible by the Universal Recycling Law. 

Time: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

Location: 1101 Lambsons Lane, New Castle, DE

Sen. Carper will attend the departure ceremony for the 3-238^th General Support Aviation Battalion of the Delaware Army National Guard.  This 62-member unit is deploying to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. 

Time: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Location: Army Aviation Support Facility, 33 Corporate Circle, New Castle, DE

Sen. Carper will tour the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Newark. He will meet with staff and see the facility, which opened last year.

Time: 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
