WILMINGTON – On Monday, August 8, 2011, Sen. Carper will attend an open house for the Perdue Farms, Inc. Delaware Solar Project in Bridgeville, Del.

Perdue Farms, along with Standard Solar and Washington Gas Energy Services, is launching an alternative energy method using more than 8,000 solar panels covering approximately five football fields which will generate enough electricity to power more than 175 typical U.S. homes.

Sen. Carper will give brief remarks at this event, followed by a tour of the facility.
