WASHINGTON – Sens. Tom Carper, Chris Coons and Rep. John Carney (all D-Del.) will host a reception for Delaware students appointed to the U.S. Service Academies for the class entering in 2011 at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center room SVC 210/212 in Washington, D.C. Former Rep. Mike Castle (R-Del.) and a representative for former Sen. Ted Kaufman (D-Del.) will also attend.  

After a tour of the U.S. Capitol, the Delegation will make remarks during the reception offering congratulations to the students on their accomplishment. This reception also serves as an opportunity for the appointees to meet their fellow Delaware classmates prior to entering their respective Academy later this summer.
