On Tuesday, December 20, 2011, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) will participate in the ribbon cutting at Delmar's new state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility. This wastewater treatment facility was transformed from an outdated plant to an innovative, effective wastewater treatment plant that protects the health and safety of the local community and provides significant clean water benefits for the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. This facility modernization effort was funded by federal, Delaware, Maryland and local grants.
