Telephone Town Hall
Mar 31 2011
11 a.m. | Delaware
Sen. Carper will hold a tele-town hall meeting to hear questions, comments and concerns from the Delaware business community. Sen. Carper will answer participants’ questions on topics ranging from health care to the budget deficit, but will focus on job creation in the state and recent legislation affecting the business community. He will also share his own thoughts. The call will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011.
Sen. Carper has held several successful tele-town hall meetings during the last year to talk about health care reform and has reached almost 20,000 Delawareans on those calls.
“Telephone town hall meetings provide a unique and convenient forum to allow thousands of Delawareans to participate in a conversation about what’s important to their lives, families and communities," said Sen. Carper. "I use these opportunities to learn even more from our constituents to see how I can be of a better service to them and the state of Delaware.”
The tele-town hall is part of an ongoing effort by Sen. Carper to address questions and concerns Delawareans have about issues affecting the state and the nation. This tele-town hall will have a focus on the local business community; however all constituents are invited to participate.
