WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, February 15, Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) will participate in a panel as part of General Electric's American Competitiveness: What Works conference, titled "The Future of Trade Policy" from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Mellon Auditorium, 1301 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, D.C.
General Electric's American Competitiveness: What Works conference brings together leaders and experts to discuss what's working right now and what must be done to grow manufacturing, foster innovation, compete globally, and create jobs. Wednesday's panel will focus on global competitiveness and the future of trade policy. The panel will be moderated by John Rice, Chairman, President and CEO, Global Growth & Operations, General Electric. In addition to Senator Carper, the panel will include Thomas J. Donohue, President and CEO, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Governor Bob McDonnell of Virginia.
