DOVER, Del. – On Monday, June 17, 2013, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) will attend the following events in Kent County:

Sen. Carper will visit ACE (Aviation Career Education) summer academy at Delaware State University Airways Sciences building to speak to students and observe morning flying exercises. The ACE summer academy for middle and high school students places an emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. 

Time: 9:30 - 10:15 a.m.

Location: Delaware Airpark, 127 Durham Lane, Dover

Sen. Carper will visit Girls State at Wesley College. Sen. Carper will meet with students and discuss the importance of civic involvement and answer questions that the students may have.

Time: 10 - 10:45 a.m.

Location: 116 Malmberg Hall, Wesley College, Dover

Sen. Carper will address the Downtown Dover Rotary Club. 

Time: 12:15 - 1:15 p.m.

Location: Frazier's Restaurant, 9 East Loockerman Street, Dover

Sen. Carper will attend an event to celebrate the successes of the utility savings and sustainability programs at Dover Downs. Dover Downs was recently award the Silver Tier Certification Green Concierge award from HospitalityGreen of New York.
