WASHINGTON — The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, led by Chairman Joe Lieberman, ID-Conn., and Ranking Member Susan Collins, R-Me., will hold a hearing, “Weeding Out Bad Contractors: Does the Government have the Right Tools?,” on Wednesday, November 16, at 9:00 a.m. The hearing will examine whether federal suspension and disbarment regulations are sufficient for the federal government to deny irresponsible contractors future awards in order to protect taxpayers’ interests.
