Sen. Carper along with Gov. Jack Markell, Congressman John Carney, state and local leaders will join in the groundbreaking of a $4.4 million runway project at the Sussex County Airport. This project will extend the 5,000-foot-long main runway by 500 feet and will attract larger planes and more business to the Georgetown-area airport.
