The Georgetown Farmers’ Market opened its 2011 season on Friday, May 27, at a new location – the long-time town park on North Bedford Street.
Highlighted on Opening Day by a visit from U.S. Senator Tom Carper, the market features an opportunity for farmers to showcase their crops throughout the spring and summer seasons, while also giving other vendors a perfect place to advertise their products or services.
Sponsored by the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, the farmers’ market will run every Friday between the hours of 3 and 6 p.m., through the summer. Call the Chamber office at 856-1544 for more information.
