Summer months bring with them national blood shortages. This year, the United States national blood shortage is worse than in recent years. Senator Carper, a 20+year blood donor, frequently answers the call from the Blood Bank of Delaware/Eastern Shore to help keep Delaware from facing those shortages. "It is important for the community to be reminded of the importance of blood donation," said Senator Carper. "It only takes one hour to donate blood, and that hour helps save lives." WHERE:
