59th Presidential Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony
Thank you for visiting my website and for your interest in the 59th Presidential Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony on January 20, 2021. This long-standing tradition dates back to the earliest days of our nation — to 1789 with the Inauguration of George Washington. And I know that many Delawareans are taking special interest in this upcoming ceremony!
Protecting public health while honoring our country’s inaugural tradition is a top priority for me and for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. In accordance with CDC guidelines and the advice of medical experts, there will be no large gatherings or crowds for the inauguration. But Americans have been innovating since the earliest days of this nation, and the upcoming inaugural celebration will be no different! While there will not be in-person events, everyone is encouraged to take part and enjoy in a safe way. You can expect to see virtual celebrations that bring the country together, a reimagined parade, and socially distanced community service events.
More information about how Delawareans can enjoy the inaugural events will be posted in the upcoming weeks. Please click here to read the latest information on how you and your family can celebrate this historic ceremony!
