welcome home

This Monday marks the 75th anniversary of Veteran’s Day, a time for reflection and a time to honor those who have served our country and defended it with their lives. One day, though, is not nearly enough to honor our veterans. As a veteran and former naval flight officer, I understand the sacrifices our veterans and their families have made. We need to work every day to ensure we uphold our commitment to them here at home, just as they do for us throughout the world.

We can do this by providing them the resources and help they need to readjust to life outside the military. Providing our veterans with jobs, health care, and housing is not only a national responsibility but it’s the right thing to do. We owe them a debt of gratitude and respect for all they have done to to secure our safety and liberty.

On this Veteran’s Day, let’s join in thanking them together.

Welcome home. We’re proud of you, and we’re grateful for your service.
