Continuing his push to “make Delaware a model for the nation,” Senator Tom Carper will bring his Excellence in Public Education Tour to Lewes and Camden tomorrow. Carper will hold the last town meetings of this tour with parents, teachers, students, and seniors in Kent and Sussex County to discuss President George W. Bush’s education plan and the Carper-Gregg Charters Schools and Choice (Empowering Parents) Act. The meetings are open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend. “The education debate in Congress will shape our nation’s future. Our success in Delaware can help shape this debate,” Carper said. “Over the last two weeks, the Excellence in Education tour gave me time to listen to hundreds of parents, teachers, students, business leaders and seniors across our state.
