Dover, DE – Senator Tom Carper will hold a press conference on Monday, June 14, 2004, at the Dover Air Force Base to announce the beginning of the C-5 Modernization project at the base. The media is invited to join the Senator as he gets a first-hand view of what is being done to upgrade the planes. The first phase of this process is the Avionics Modernization Program, better known as AMP. The C-5 Avionics Modernization Program upgrades C-5 cockpits with modern avionics and flight instrumentation.
