Senator Carper’s Schedule for Thursday, February 19, 2004

Dover, DE – Senator Tom Carper will be spending Thursday, February 19, 2004, in New Castle and Kent Counties. Sen. Carper will begin his day at the West End Neighborhood House, where they will be celebrating a grant received on behalf of the Wilmington community from the Wachovia Regional Foundation. The $700,000 grant is to be used toward community revitalization. Sen. Carper will then head to Kent County to Hartly Elementary School and Towne Point Elementary School to help celebrate February as “I Love to Read Month.” Senator Carper will read aloud to the children and stress to them the importance of reading.
