Sussex County Gains Representation Jymayce Wescott Joins Carper’s Office on The Circle in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, DE – Sussex County residents will have more help handling problems with federal agencies, with the addition of key staff to Senator Carper’s Georgetown office. Jymayce Wescott, a Del Tech graduate, Air Force veteran and local resident becomes the third full time staff member in Senator Carper’s Georgetown office on the Circle. Jymayce specializes in military issues and helps Delaware veterans resolve issues with the federal government. “With Jymayce in our Georgetown office, we have an even greater ability to serve the downstate community. Her dedication and expertise have made a tremendous difference in the lives of Delaware families, particularly those with veterans, and I am confident that her support will make our Sussex County team even stronger,” Carper said. “It is vital that we be able to provide the top-notch assistance that the men and women of our Armed Forces deserve.” Jymayce is responsible for helping veterans and members of the Armed Forces resolve issues with various federal agencies, including the Department of Veteran Affairs and the Department of Defense. Jymayce works to resolve Veteran’s Affairs claim issues; contact the various service branches on behalf of constituents, obtain medals for veterans, and assist military members who are stationed overseas. Working on military issues is a perfect fit for Jymayce, who grew up in a military family. Her father served in the United States Air Force, and she soon followed in his footsteps, joining the Air Force and serving her country in Oklahoma, the Philippines and England. “Because of what I saw in my father and his service in the Air Force, I began to develop a great appreciation for the men and women that serve this country. I began to understand the pressures that military families go through; after all I was living it,” Jymayce said. “I am so very grateful for the opportunity to help Senator Carper help the members of our Armed Forces.” Jymayce, a resident of Milton, joins Marjorie Biles and Mark Lally in the Senator’s Georgetown office. Biles specializes in helping residents with immigration issues and passports. Sussex Countians in need of help navigating through federal agencies and regulations are encouraged to visit or call the Georgetown office for assistance. Mark, Marjorie and Jymayce stand ready to help, as does the entire Carper team. Georgetown office is located in the Citizens Bank Building, on the Circle, with entrances both in the bank and at the rear of the building.
