Ron and Laura Brown’s New State-of-the-Art Perdue Poultry House Senator Carper will tour a state-of -the-art, windowless, tunnel-ventilated, new poultry house designed by Perdue. Location: Laurel, DE – Rt. 13 South, Right on Rt. 24 toward Sharptown, Right on Mt. Pleasant Rd. toward Bethel, Go 1.3 miles, Left on Watson Rd., Farm is .06 miles on Left. 3:45 PM
Perdue Agriculture Recycling Plant Senator Carper will tour a first-of-its-kind facility that converts poultry litter into organic fertilizer products. The facility helps producers manage their litter, thereby protecting the Chesapeake Bay and Maryland, Delaware and Virginia inland bays from excess nutrients. Location: Seaford, DE – Rt.24 to Rt.13, Left on Rd. 485 (O’Neals Road), at stop sign turn Right on Seaford Road (Rt. 13A), Plant is 100 yards on Left.
