Poultry, the ‘Pill Bill 2’ Tour and July 4th Festivities

WILMINGTON, DE – Having kicked off his “Pill Bill 2” Tour in Wilmington yesterday, Senator Tom Carper will hit the road for four additional town meetings with seniors throughout Delaware this week. The tour will concentrate on the burden of costly prescription drugs and will build on conversations that Carper began during his terms as governor. A prime co-sponsor of the “Medicare Reform Act of 2001”, Carper will discuss his plan to make prescription drug coverage an integral part of Medicare. On the Fourth of July, Carper will join in traditional festivities across the state celebrating Independence Day. Monday, the Senator will help kick off the Perdue Farms Pellet Plant opening, highlighting his support for sound environmental solutions to poultry waste.
