Senator Carper Congratulates Collin O’Mara on National Wildlife Federation post

WILMINGTON, Del. – Today, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) issued this statement on the news that Collin O’Mara, secretary of the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, is leaving this role to become Director of the National Wildlife Federation:

“Delaware was fortunate over the last five years to have Collin O’Mara lead its Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. He is a tireless advocate for clean air, fresh water and protecting Delaware’s beautiful qualities from its Bayshore to the Brandywine. Through his leadership, he fortified Delaware’s beaches after superstorms ravaged its coastline, protected wildlife habitats across our state, and created strategies to develop clean, renewable forms of energy to power our homes and businesses. Delaware’s loss is the nation’s gain as he continues his passion for protecting the environment at the National Wildlife Federation. I wish him the best of luck and look forward to working with him in this new role.”
