Senator Tom Carper Visits Sitel in Milford

MILFORD, Del. – On June 24, 2014, U.S. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) visited the Delaware location of Sitel, a leading global customer service provider. The Senator discussed key issues with Sitel management and greeted team members. Recently, Sitel, which provides customer service support for some of the world’s best-known brands, announced it was hiring 100 additional employees at its Milford location.

“It was wonderful to meet the team at Sitel,” said Sen. Carper. “The recent announcement that the company will nearly double its workforce at its Milford location is welcome news to Delaware, especially in Kent and Sussex counties.”

Nationwide, Sitel is rapidly expanding its U.S. operations and hiring thousands of new team members. Once the company hires additional team members, it will employ 225 people in Milford. This new round of hiring is prompted by the success of one of Sitel’s major clients.

“We appreciate the support from Senator Carper as Sitel continues to grow and expand in Delaware,” said Site Director, Kristen Zuhr. “We’re excited to hire, train and develop new professionals in the Kent and Sussex area to deliver outstanding customer care on behalf of our clients.”

Sitel is now accepting applications on its web site. The company has a long reputation for promoting team members through the ranks to management positions. The growth in Milford will likely create future career opportunities for frontline coaches and operations managers through exceptional training programs and ongoing professional development.
