Small Business Resource Fair Tours Delaware, Carper, Biden, and Castle Support Effort

WILMINGTON, DE- Delaware’s newest small business owners will get a helping hand this month when the Small Business Resource Fair tours the state for a series information and networking events supported by Delaware’s congressional delegation. Aimed at those working to develop their own small business, the fair will connect helpful agencies and organizations with perspective entrepreneurs. “I’ve always believed in the value of finding out what works and seeing if these methods can be applied to similar projects. There is a lot of value in listening to the insights of those who went before you,” Carper said. “The Small Business Resource Fair is an excellent opportunity for Delawareans to learn from each other.” “Small businesses are an essential part of our national economy — in Delaware and throughout the country,” said Senator Biden. “In these precarious economic times, they will likely become even more critical as engines of job growth, opportunity and technical innovation. We should make available whatever resources they can use to help them navigate through the sometimes difficult waters of business development – now more than ever.” Congressman Mike Castle expressed support for the Fair, “Networking is one of the most valuable tools for a small business owner. Small business people have to leverage all their opportunities to help build on their success. This Resource Fair will help Delaware’s small business owners do just that.” The Delaware Small Business Resource Partnership (DSBRP) is a consortium of state, federal and non-profit agencies that focus on business development, technical assistance, financing, advocacy, enforcement and licensing.
