Senator Carper to Meet with Greenspan Tomorrow to Discuss the Condition of our Financial Markets, will be Joined by Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill and SEC Chairman Harvey Pitt

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator Tom Carper will meet tomorrow with Alan Greenspan, Chair of the Federal Reserve, to discuss the condition of the world’s financial markets. Tomorrow’s Banking Committee hearing will bring Carper together with leading economic officials in a conversation focused on the impact of the recent tragedies on our economy. “It has been said in the wake of Tuesday’s tragedies that the U.S will never be the same. Certainly, we will be having new economic discussions both as a Congress and as a nation,” Carper said. “Before we can forecast what will happen, we need to understand what has happened.
