Senator Carper Talks with Downstate Students Thursday, Makes Dreams Come True at Private Afternoon Event in Ocean View

WILMINGTON, DE – Senator Tom Carper will talk politics with young and old alike Thursday. Carper will talk with downstate students about the importance of informed and active participation in their government at the Academy of Lifelong Learning and H.O. Brittingham Elementary. A secret afternoon event in Ocean View will cap the day. Having kicked off his “Balancing Budget Priorities” Tour in Newark Monday, Senator Tom Carper will hit the road for two more meetings throughout Delaware. The tour is focused on the tough choices Congress faces on the future of social security, Medicare, defense spending and investments in education. Carper will be asking Delawareans to present their priorities at meetings April 4th in Dover and April 8th in Georgetown.
