Senator Carper Tours the Delaware Valley Wednesday

WILMINGTON, DE – Senator Carper will tour the Delaware Valley Wednesday, talking with parents and educators about the need for increased childcare funding in welfare reform, checking in on progress at Southbridge’s Neighborhood House and celebrating innovation at a Small Business of the Year, DIAMOND Technology. Having kicked off his “Balancing Budget Priorities” Tour in Newark yesterday, Senator Tom Carper will hit the road for two more meetings throughout Delaware this week. The tour is focused on the tough choices Congress faces on the future of social security, Medicare, defense spending and investments in education. Carper will be asking Delawareans to present their priorities at meetings April 4th in Dover and April 8th in Georgetown.
