Senator Carper Visits Local Company that Helped Build National World War II Memorial

Wilmington, DE – Senator Carper will visit APEX Piping, the Delaware-based company that helped build the National WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. The work completed by employees of APEX Piping includes the fabrication of eight bronze eagles and stainless steel columns. APEX Piping workers were also responsible for the field installation of the bronze artwork at the memorial site in Washington, D.C. During the visit, Senator Carper will also meet with Raymond Kaskey, a designer and sculptor of the memorial. His sculpture commissions include the Ronald Reagan Courthouse in Santa Ana, CA, the Olympic Centennial Park in Atlanta, GA, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., and the Portland Public Services Building in Portland, OR.
